ABOUT JADE

I was the teen who just wanted new bedding for her birthday ...

While my friends were collecting shoes like they were going out of fashion (pun intended), all I wanted was new bedroom accessories.

Full disclaimer: I once decorated my whole bedroom teal and black when I was 12 years old. Fortunately, that phase passed although my passion for design and decor never left.

Fast forward a few years (and color palettes!) and I began working at a luxury interior design firm while studying at a design school in Tampa

It was the stuff of designers’ dreams - working with high-end clients who we couldn’t disclose - learning about antiques, fabric construction, and the finer things in design.

After more than a decade of working in luxury interior design firms, I created JNT Interiors in 2015. (I had just had twin babies and there was nowhere for them to nap in the fabric room!)

Working in luxury firms for so long taught me how to create a rich, elevated, and warm look that is timeless. But my real obsession is making it pop with unique pieces, textures, and colors so that it also reflects your personality.

The kind of look that immediately soothes the soul and gives you that much-needed ahhhhh feeling when you walk into your home after a long day. Because there’s no place like home.

You’ll normally find me with pencil in one hand, and coffee in the other, in a white button-up… although I promise my personality is not at all buttoned up!

My secret behind creating a home that reflects your best self is to take a relaxed and collaborative approach so that you always feel comfortable and listened to.

Since your luxury interior designer and curator is also the business owner, it ensures a seamless and smooth experience every step of the way from consultation to completion.

However, you may also speak to some of the wonderful members of my team from time to time. From our accounts manager to our fabulous procurement and project management assistant - they are all key players behind the scene.

YOU CAN HAVE NICE THINGS WITH KIDS!

My daughter (aged 13) designed her room with me and it’s beautiful. I love incorporating children’s personalities into their rooms. Some clients tell me their kids love their new rooms so much they now keep them tidy without nagging!

DESIGN SHOULD BE AS FUNCTIONAL AS IT IS BEAUTIFUL.

Beauty aside, think about how you want to use your space. For example, relaxing on the sofa together is important for my family so I created a cozy living room space that we could share as my children grow up.

HOME IS WHERE THE ART IS!

My home is full of decorative pieces that I have collected from my travels over the years. Everything from art prints, little rugs, pieces of pottery, just small things that remind me of where I’ve been. I’m always searching for special pieces for my clients that reflect their personality.
